3 Stages of A Panchakarma

Stage 1: Purvakarma

7 Days at Home

As a preparation for all cleansing treatments, the patient is prescribed plants and substances to liquify toxins. This can be done at home following a special diet to loosen toxins.

Stage 2: Panchakarma at Auromesa

Daily Abyangham massages and fomentation with medicinal herbs is done. This is known as swedana.

Then, after consultation and definition of your needs, we will work in different types of treatments (nasya, shirodhara, marmas therapy, virechana, basti)that will expel toxins and give you total purification and renewal of body and consciousness.

Stage 3: Paschatkarma at Home

7 Days back at Home

During the rejuvenation phase, a person returns to the simple diet of the preparation phase. It is important to do this gradually, by slowly introducing solid foods.

Many people find that the most profound healing occurs during the rejuvenation phase. Physical, emotional and spiritual changes may be experienced in the days and weeks to come. Sometimes issues that have been suppressed will surface.


 

Panchakarma Diet

At Auromesa we are very aware of this and every individual undergoing Panchakarma receives a special diet of Organic Kichari and fresh non-GMO, organic vegetables with herbal & therapeutic teas.

1. Vamana

Vamana is a medicated emesis therapy which removes Kapha toxins collected in the body and the respiratory tract. This is given to people with high Kapha imbalance. Daily treatment involves loosening and mobilizing the toxins in an effort to finally eliminate them.

Basti is also highly beneficial as a rejuvenating treatment. Medicated oil or ghee and an herbal decoction is given as enema to clean the colon and increase the muscle tone.

Panchakarma is contraindicated for women during their menses.
